Published

on

This morning I met a delegation from the AIBOS Company, an Artificial Intelligence solutions provider, with headquarters in Japan and a branch in Kampala. We discussed opportunities for a tripartite collaboration between Makerere University, Kobe University of Japan and AIBOS. The Company is already employing many Makerere graduates, some of whom have successfully developed an app that is in use by the Government of Japan. Thank you, AIBOS!

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and President of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center signing Memorandum of Understanding as other officials witness

I signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center at Sun Yat-sen University. We have agreed to collaborate in advancing ophthalmology at our two institutions. Remarkably, one in every six ophthalmologists in China is a graduate of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, making it a leading global research hub in this field. I look forward to the fruits of our collaboration.
