Enhancing Student Mobility

Published

on

This morning I handed over the keys of three elegant and beautifully branded buses to the Principals of the colleges of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Animal Resources and Bio-security. I thank the Parliament of Uganda for appropriating the money that enabled us to procure the buses. The buses will enhance the mobility of our students to training sites. Makerere University is committed to giving our students the best academic experience.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and President of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center signing Memorandum of Understanding as other officials witness

I signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center at Sun Yat-sen University. We have agreed to collaborate in advancing ophthalmology at our two institutions. Remarkably, one in every six ophthalmologists in China is a graduate of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, making it a leading global research hub in this field. I look forward to the fruits of our collaboration.
