RAN’s Wekebere Innovation at the 9th African Union Private Sector Forum

The objective of the 9th Private Sector Forum is to be a platform for vibrant discussions between telecoms, technology companies, local actors of Africa’s industrialization and the public sector on forging Private-Public-Partnerships to digitize the African economy and prepare it for the 4th and 5th Industrial Revolutions. It promotes both global and intra-African collaborations in order to harness the benefits of digital technologies and techpreneurship to accelerate Africa’s economic transformation and sustainable development in the digital era.

This Forum took place from November 13-15, 2017 at international convention center in Pretoria South Africa.

Excitingly I was named as one of the 10 young technopreneur in Africa changing the world based on my work with the Wekebere project a hand held device self-diagnostic device that continuously monitors the conditions of unborn babies and provides better information to doctors to improve birth outcome.

Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) Results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
