Carnegie Corporation of New York extended support to Makerere University to implement the project titled: "Building, Nurturing and Retaining the next generation of African Academics" under the broad theme of Food, Nutrition and Value Addition.
Part of this grant is to support emerging Junior Academics to complete their doctoral degrees by providing tuition and research funds. The expected outcome is excellent PhD graduates that bring dynamism in the university, contribute to national development and be part of the international community of scholars. A call is now made for applicants to compete for five (5) PhD scholarships under this scheme. Preference will be given to applicants from Economics and Management disciplines (see Downloads for details).
Deadline for application is June 30, 2011. Submit applications with the required documentations to:
