The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in collaboration with the Directorate of Research and Graduate Training (DRGT), Makerere University is once again in a position to offer up to 13 PhD and 30 Masters scholarships for the 2018 intake in the same fields like the 2017 offer: Joint applications (10 PhD and 20 Masters), School of public health (3 PhD and 6 Masters) and Integrated Watershed Management (4 Masters).

- Master of Science in Technology Innovation and Industrial Development (MSc TIID)
- Master of Science in Livestock Development and Planning (MLD)
- Master of Science in Veterinary Preventive Medicine (MVPM)
- Master of Laws (LLM)
- Master of Science in Integrated Watershed Management (MSc. IWM) – 4 Positions
- Master of Public Health – 6 Positions
PhD in Public Health – 3 Positions
Other Eligible PhD fields: – 10 Positions
Agriculture, Environment, Watershed, Veterinary Medicine, Natural Sciences, Computing, Engineering and Law.

Application procedure:
This is the first stage of application. Written applications should be addressed to the Director DRGT, Makerere University and accompanied with certified copies of bachelor/masters degree transcripts and certificates, at least a temporary admission letter or evidence of application for admission, evidence of teaching employment in a University (PhD applicants), and two referees letters. Applications should be submitted in soft (scanned, PDF) or hard copies to Ms. Grace Akol, Directorate of Research and Graduate Training, Research and Publications Office, Lincoln Flat B5, Makerere University, not later than 5.00 pm on Friday 16th February, 2018.
