The College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB), Makerere University cordially invites you to a Thursday Seminar Series on 25th April 2019 starting at 2:00pm in the Media Hall, Level 2, Room 201, CoVAB Main Block.

Speaker: Dr. Samuel G. Okech

Topic: USDA Faculty Exchange Program 2018 - Experiences and Lessons Learned

Session Chair: Assoc. Prof. Samuel Majalija, Deputy Principal, CoVAB.

COVAB has been participating in the Unites States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Faculty Exchange Program (FEP) since 2016 and has so far had a total of five academic staff go through it. Dr. Okech is one of those who participated in 2018. He will be sharing with the entire college his experiences and key lessons learned from his visit to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in the US. He will also suggest some of the practices that COVAB could consider improving or adopting (at individual, Departmental, School or College level) in the areas of teaching, research and outreach for the good of the university, nation and global network of veterinary medicine.
