Special University Entry Examinations for Diploma Programmes, 2015/2016

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for the special university entry examinations for admission to the following diploma programmes:

I) DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STUDIES
II) DIPLOMA IN RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGEMENT
III) DIPLOMA IN PERFORMING ARTS
IV) DIPLOMA IN LIVESTOCK HEALTH SCIENCES
V) DIPLOMA IN LIVESTOCK PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
VI) DIPLOMA IN PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
VII) DIPLOMA IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORK
 
The examination will take place on Saturday 6th June, 2015. Application forms for those intending to sit the examinations are obtainable at the university, Room 505, Senate Building, on payment of a non-refundable  application fee  of shs. 100,000/- (paid in any Stanbic Bank, DFCU, Crane and Centenary Bank Makerere Branch using Makerere University paying-in-bank slips).

To be eligible to sit the examinations, the candidate must possess an `o’ level certificate (uce) with at least 5 passes.

All forms must be returned with evidence of payment of the application fee.

The closing date for submitting the completed application forms is Tuesday 2nd June, 2015.

Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) Results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13th December 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
