Inline with Makerere University’s vision to boost its research capacity, the number of enrolment of PhD students has increased. The School of Graduate Studies has organised a series of cross-cutting courses to strengthen the quality of their research to meet the competitive world class research work. These courses present an opportunity to share information and challenges encountered by the PhD research students. These interactions have previoiusly been found to be beneficial to everyone in regard to refining concepts, approaches used in the research and tips on how to go about conducting research work, as well as balancing social, academic and all other spheres of life.
It’s on this note that a suggestion to have an Association in the University, bringing together all the PhD students was made. Therefore, all PhD students in the unversity are invited for a Luncheon to take place on Friday 10th December, 2010 at 1:00pm.
