Justice James Ogoola Launches a Report on Land Governance in Uganda

Justice James Ogoola presides over the National Stakeholder’s Dialogue on Land Justice and Governance in Uganda, 9th November 2017, Hotel Africana, Kampala Uganda

The Human Rights and Peace Centre (HURIPEC) on 9th November 2017 convened a National Stakeholder’s Dialogue on Land Justice and Governance in Uganda at Hotel Africana. The Dialogue was aimed at raising public consciousness about governance issues in as far as land is concerned.
 
The Chief Guest at the event, retired Principal Judge James Ogoola who also launched a report on “Land Injustice, Impunity and State Collapse in Uganda, Causes, Consequences and Correctives.”
 
The report is a culmination of four studies related to three empirical studies undertaken by the Human Rights and Peace Centre (HURIPEC) at the School of Law Makerere University.
