In synergy, the parties that come together are able to achieve their respective objectives and are together capable of creating an impact far greater than their initial individual input combined.

The Bunyoro Transformation Initiative (BTI) is one such umbrella association bringing together religious, cultural and development oriented organizations in the Bunyoro sub region with a sole aim of spearheading economic, moral and social transformation in Bunyoro Kitara. The Omukama of Bunyoro-Kitara, His Highness Solomon Agutamba Iguru, is the patron of BTI and is spearheading the development for the people of Bunyoro.
To further broaden its sphere of influence and take advantage of the University’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership and Networking cross-cutting factor, BTI has partnered with Makerere University through The Africa Institute for Strategic Animal Resource Services and Development (AFRISA), College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB) to for The Bunyoro Transformation Platform (BTP). BTP will therefore provide a framework through which Makerere University and BTI will implement the skills, production, enterprise development and academic growth in Bunyoro sub-region.

To cement this partnership, the patron of BTI, The Omukama of Bunyoro-Kitara, His Highness Solomon Agutamba Iguru will on Thursday 15th May 2014 visit Makerere University and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of BTI.
