The One Health Institute (OHI) Fellowship is a multidisciplinary, experiential training, and mentorship training model where Fellows will be given high level placements in order to acquire competences in One Health approaches to problem solving.
As part of the Fellowship, Fellows will attend the OHI theoretical classes for three weeks, on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 22nd April to 20th May 2017, This will be followed have two months placements, and one week of final presentations. Fellows will be attached to organizations where they will be mentored in outbreak investigation, contact tracing and follow up, data collection and analysis, writing and publication skills, etc.
Who should apply?
Students of Makerere University
• Currently enrolled on a fulltime graduate program in Makerere University from any of the fields of: Social Sciences, Public Health, Mass communication, IT, Veterinary, Nursing, Law, Human Medicine, Agriculture, Environment, Business and Laboratory Sciences.
• Age should not exceed 38 years for men and 40 years for women by September 30th, 2017
