Undergraduate Private Admissions Announcement 2012/2013
The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications from Ugandan applicants for the
undergraduate programmes under the private sponsorship scheme for the 2012/2013 academic year
The details are as follows:
Each applicant should:
Either
Have the Uganda Certificate of Education with at least (five passes), or its equivalent and at least two principal passes at Advanced Level obtained at the same sitting. For day programmes, only candidates who sat "A" Level in 2011, 2010 and 2009 are eligible to apply. For Evening, Afternoon, and External programmes, a candidate is not restricted on the year of sitting "A" Level.
Or
Hold at least a Second Class or Credit (or equivalent classification) Diploma from a recognised institution, relevant to the programmes applied for. ( Details of the Diploma Admission requirements for the 2012/2013 academic year can be viewed on the notice boards of the undergraduate admissions

Or
Be a Graduate from a recognised university.

The closing date for submitting the completed Application Forms or On-Line Applications is Friday 15th June, 2012.

I am suprized
Does Makerere really intend to exclude some one with a 7, 8 or 9 in a subject at O'Level even if they got AAAA at A'Level. Or this is a mistake in the advert for private undergraduate admissions. I am the only specialist in my field in East Africa, but I studied at makerere. I came to MUK with BBB, but with a 9 and 8 at Olevel in Commerce and agriculture respectively. Think twice about this. Because some of the professor at makerere may not have been with this stringent criteria

I have tried registering online but when i get to the website i can;t click on the year 2012-2013,
yet that's where we have to click to get the form we should fill in,
is it a mistake of the site where they forgot the link
what should i do, i really wanted to register online.

Do we print the downloaded application forms on the normal A4 paper and fill them out, will you accept them or must we necessarily print them on the double booklet paper? I have tried to reach the Academic Registrar's office line but no one picks my call and as I keep trying it gets busy, please help.

Those who seek info online are probably wasting time. No one replies mails. I cant access the cut off points and the fees structure that is in the academic registrars website is of 2010!!! (the most important info there is the profile of the academic registrar) Does MUK actually appreciate the need for online info?

I failed completely to get cut off points and essential subject for each causes for 2012/2013 on net, even those at the university are selling that of 2011/2012.What's up or everything remains the same as in 2011/2013
