Uganda’s Minister of Education and Sports hails Mastercard Foundation for their support to Uganda

Reeta Roy the President and CEO of Mastercard Foundation on 4th January 2019 met a delegation from Makerere University, RUFORUM and Ministry of Education and Sports at the State House, Nakasero, Uganda.  The convener of the meeting was the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda who is also the Minister of Education and Sports.

DRGT, CoBAMS Mount Advanced Statistical Data Analysis PhD Training Course

The Directorate of Research and Graduate Training (DRGT) in partnership with the School of Statistics, College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS) led by Prof. Leonard Atuhaire on Monday, 7th January 2018 commenced a 3-week training course in the practical application of statistics for analysis of research data. The course revisits standard statistical techniques together with comprehensive hands on illustration of their application using a standard statistical package (e.g. STATA).

On 7th January 2019, Makerere University together with the China University of Petroleum (UPC) signed an agreement to co-establish and operationalize the Institute of Geoscience and Petroleum at Makerere University. The agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe and the Vice President of China University of Petroleum Prof. Jun Yao on behalf of the two universities respectively. Mak 69th Graduation Ceremony First Class Lists

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released the list of candidates who attained First Class Degrees.  The 69th Graduation Ceremony will be held from Tuesday 15th January, 2014 to Friday 18th January, 2019

In total, 13,333 Graduands will receive their awards with 6,707 (50.3%) being female and 6,626 (49.7%) being male
