Pharmacy has a new home in Makerere

The proposed new building for the School of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences was yesterday 7th January 2010 officially handed over by the contractor M/S Arab Contractors at a ceremony presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba.

Mr. Robert Kabushenga, The New Vision Group CEO yesterday afternoon paid a courtesy call on Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Venansius Baryamureeba. Social Research

Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR ), previously known as the East African Institute of Social Research, was establish in 1948 and mandated to carry out anthropological and other forms of social research. It participated in the formation of local international academic pillars.

Currently MISR is an autonomous institute of Makerere University. It conducts and coordinates basic and applied research; provides consultancy services to private, public and NGO sectors; undertakes networking with related institutions globally;

MISR, being a research arm of Makerere University, has a sizable specialized core staff and in addition enjoys a privilege of recruiting any faculty member in the University on any on-going research/consultancy project.
