MakSPH Short courses in Epidemiology and Biostatistics 2019

Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), at the College of Health Sciences (CHS), is offering short courses in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics to graduates of various disciplines. This is in response to increasing demand for research, electronic data collection, data management, analytical skills and quality improvement at various work places. Applications are requested for the following courses:

  1. Applied Biostatistics I: Level-I Data Analysis – 8th to 12th July 2019
  2. Applied Biostatistics II: Logistic Regression – 15th to 26th July 2019
  3. Clinical and Community Trials – 15th to 26th July 2019
  4. Cost-Effectiveness Analysis in Health Care – 15th to 19th July 2019
  5. Introduction to Quality of Health Care – 22nd to 26th July 2019
  6. Certificate in Health Informatics – 8th to 26th July 2019
  • The deadline for submission of the applications is 5th July 2019 for Level I Data Analysis and Health Informatics
  • The deadline for submission of the applications is 11th July 2019 for all courses starting on 15th and 22nd July 2019.

The tuition fee covers reading materials, stationery, bag and organisation costs.

Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) Results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13th December 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
