Notice of Extension of Registration Sem II 2014/15

First Year Students being registered Sem I 2014/15

The University experienced internet interruptions in the first week of this Semester which affected the functioning of the Web Server and online registration system.

This is, therefore, to inform all students that registration for Semester II, 2014/2015 Academic year has been extended to Friday 27th February 2015 and students should have paid 100% tuition and all functional fees by the end of the 6th week of the Semester (i.e.31st January- 14th March 2015).

Failure to register by 27th February 2015, will attract a sur-charge of 50,000/= (Fifty thousand shillings only).

The Cycle for online registration is still open for all students. You can register from anywhere there is internet connectivity. This registration is for subjects/courses being offered Semester II, 2014/2015 for your respective programmes. Once registered, students are required to print a proof of registration and move with it in order to attend classes.

Unregistered students who belong to the under listed categories can still contact College Registrars before they can register.

(ii) Stay Put Cases

(iii) Withdrawal cases

(iv) Audited Courses

(v) Extension Cases College Registrars should provide students with guidelines/Instructions for registration and handle all registration related matters.

NOTE:

(i) The cycle for online registration will be closed on Friday 27th February, 2015 at 5.00 p.m.

(ii) No student will be allowed ·to register for this semester beyond 27th February, 2015 and students who will not have registered by this date will not be considered to be University students.

Special University Entry Examinations for the Diploma in Performing Arts 2026/27

Students from the Department of Performing Arts on 4th April 2025.

The Academic Registrar Makerere University invites applications for the Special University Entry Examinations for admission to the Diploma in Performing Arts.

The examination will take place on Saturday 16^th May, 2026.

Application process is online for those intending to sit the examination. Kindly note that there is payment of a non-refundable application fee of Shs. 110,000/- excluding bank charges in any (Stanbic Bank, Dfcu Post Bank, UBA and Centenary Bank). After filling the online application, you will be provided with 2 Past Papers.

To be eligible to sit the examinations, the candidate must possess an O’ Level Certificate (UCE) with at least 5 Passes.

The deadline for receiving the online applications is Tuesday 12^th May 2026.

Application is online for ALL applicants.
Other relevant information can be obtained from Undergraduate Mature Age Office, Level 5, Room 505, Senate Building, Makerere University or can be accessed from https://see.mak.ac.ug
A non refundable application fee of Shs. 110,000= for Ugandans, East Africans Applicants (Including S. Sudan & DRC) OR US $ 75 or equivalent for international applicants plus bank charges should be paid in any of the banks used by Uganda Revenue Authority.

Diploma Holders Admission Lists under Government Sponsorship for 2026/2027 AY

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released lists of Diploma holders admitted under the Government Sponsorship Scheme for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Under the Diploma Holders Government Sponsorship Scheme admission does not exceed 5% of the intake capacity to the respective Degree Programme.

Mature Age Examination Results for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 50% passed and have been recommended by the Pre-Entry & Mature Age Committee to the University’s Admissions Committee for consideration.

The Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027 can be accessed by following this link.
