CFA-9th Regional Collaboration Conference

Makerere University will host the 9th Regional Collaboration Conference scheduled from 22 – 24 June 2014. The annual scientific conference to be held under the theme

*Research and Innovations Forum for Sustainable Regional Development: A Decade of Sida Partnership*

The conference will bring together researchers from Makerere University, University of Dar es Salaam and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane of Mozambique that are supported by SIDA, the conference is open to participation from other universities and to all that would like to share their research and innovations for sustainable regional development.

This is to invite you to submit abstracts to the email /regconf2014@cedat.mak.ac.ug/ and please note the following important dates:

  • Submission of abstracts is now open and will close on March 15, 2014.
  • Notification of Acceptance of abstracts: This will be on March 22, 2014
  • Submission of Papers: Starts on March 16th and closes on April 30, 2014.

The abstracts should outline aims, content and conclusions of the papers. They should include the title, author's name, affiliation, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number and fax numbers and should not exceed 300 words. The articles will be peer reviewed and published online.

The scope of the conference is broad covering aspects of engineering, architecture, art, industrial design, surveying, ICT and land management.

Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) Results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13th December 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
