MATURE AGE ENTRY SCHEME EXAMINATIONS 2010/2011

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University announces that the MATURE AGE ENTRY SCHEME EXAMINATIONS for the Academic Year 2010/2011 will be held on Saturday 20th February, 2010. THE NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST(PAPER I) set and administered by the National Council for Higher Education will be done in the morning (9.00a.m. to 12.00 noon), and the PROGRAMME SPECIFIC EXAMINATION (PAPER II) set and administered by Makerere University Senate in the afternoon (2.00p.m. to 5.00p.m).

To be eligible for the Examination, the Candidate MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD BEFORE 1ST AUGUST, 2010.
Application Forms for those intending to sit the Examination at Makerere University are issued at the University, in Room 505, Senate Building on payment of an Application Fee of Shs. 80,000/- (Shs.50,000/- for the National Aptitude Test and Shs. 30,000/- for the Programme Specific Examination).
Banking Paying-In Slips can be obtained from Room 202, Senate Building.  The Form can also be downloaded from here MATURE AGE ENTRY APPLICATION FORM FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2010/2011

The Closing Date for submitting the completed Application Form is 14th February, 2010.

Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) Results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13th December 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
