It has been my pleasure to formally welcome the new Imam of the Makerere University Mosque. I thank the outgoing  Imam Sam Ahmed Ssentongo, and Ag. Imam Prof. Abasi Kiyimba for their service to Makerere and wish the new Imam Sheikh Sowedi Juma Mayanja success in his new appointment.

Meeting Prof. Lee

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe (2nd R) with Prof. Lee (2nd L) and other officials after the meeting on 17th September 2021, CTF1, Makerere University.

I held discussions with Prof. Lee of Chongbuk University, who is the Manager of the Korea Uganda Dairy Project at Makerere. This project will transform the dairy sector in Uganda tremendously . Thank you Chongbuk.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe addresses the workshop on Enhancing Women’s Participation and Visibility in Leadership and Decision-Making Organs of Public Universities in Uganda through Action Research, 14th September 2021, CTF1, Makerere University.

At the workshop on participation of women in leadership and decision making in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), I have called for Makerere to regain national leadership in gender mainstreaming. We must tap into the potential of our gallant women.
