Mak Postdoc Fellows Undergo Skills Enhancement Training in Project Management

Makerere University Post-Doctoral fellows joined their counterparts from the RUFORUM partnership universities for the skills enhancement training in project management and leadership at University of Cape Coast Ghana.

The training was part of the activities to mark the 15th RUFORUM Annual General Meeting (2^nd-6^th December 2019) hosted by University of Cape Coast under the theme, “Delivering on Africa’s Universities Agenda for Agricultural Higher Education Science Technology and Innovation (AHESTI): What will it be?

The aim of the training was to enlighten and improve the trainees’ research setting and future research projects and above all to be more impactful in whatever they are doing, understand why they are doing research, for whom and how to get the best for the farmers and consumers.

The lead instructor from the Netherlands Prof. Gerard Ouden, also specialist in tropical agriculture and program management of research projects decried the poor management and supervision of projects saying, something must be done to improve research projects.

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released lists of Diploma holders admitted under the Government Sponsorship Scheme for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Under the Diploma Holders Government Sponsorship Scheme admission does not exceed 5% of the intake capacity to the respective Degree Programme.

Mature Age Examination Results for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 50% passed and have been recommended by the Pre-Entry & Mature Age Committee to the University’s Admissions Committee for consideration.

The Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027 can be accessed by following this link.
