The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, through conferences and residency programs, supports the work of scholars, artists, policymakers, and practitioners who share in the Foundation’s
pioneering mission to “promote the well-being of humanity.” The Bellagio Residency Program offers these individuals a setting conducive to focused work, and the unparalleled opportunity to establish new connections with fellow residents from a stimulating array of disciplines and geographies during residencies of up to 4 weeks.
The latest competition for academic writing residents opened on OCTOBER 1, 2017, with a final deadline for applications on DECEMBER 1, 2017. Applicants accepted during this open call will be awarded residencies in late 2018 and 2019.
Apart from the standard residency program, the Bellagio Center will host a special thematic residency from November 5–30, 2018, with up to 15 academic, artist, and practitioner residents advancing work aligned with the theme “Science for Development.” People whose work is advancing, informing, communicating, or is inspired by the use or design of science and technology to address social and environmental challenges around the world are encouraged to apply in this upcoming competition as well.
