Makerere University in collaboration with the University of Agder, Norway, is implementing a NORAD supported project for Leapfrogging Makerere University's 1st Generation Distance Education into 4th and 5th Generation Distance Education. Fourth and Fifth Generation Distance Education uses intelligent flexible learning models which employ interactive multimedia (IMM) online; e.g., social networks, Internet-based access to WWW resources, online learning, e-learning, computer-mediated communications
using automated response systems and campus portal access to institutional processes and resources.
The project is now in its second year running and one of the planned activities is holding an annual research workshop. The research workshop is intended to disseminate research findings on the project and also share state of the art and practice in ODeL.
The Workshop will take place at Makerere University on June 15, 2015. We are now calling for Abstracts from researchers interested in ODeL. The call is attached herewith for your action.
