The Students' Electoral Commission has released the Guidelines for the 2013/2014 Guild Presidential Voting Exercise due to be held on Monday 4th March 2013, from 8:00am to 5:00pm strictly.
The Following should be observed on the voting day.
- No student who is not registered in the nominal roll of his/her school shall be allowed to vote.
- No student without a University Identity Card/ examination permit of the previous semester or registration form with their picture shall be allowed to vote (fully stamped Bio data). NOTE: Police letters, Association IDs, Admission letters shall strictly not be allowed.
- Voting shall start from 8:00am to 5:00pm strictly.
- Any student with a valid University Identity card whose name is not on the nominal roll of his or her school shall be allowed to vote after clearance from the relevant school registrars’ office. Their names shall then be written down and there after it shall be crossed out.
- The presidential aspirants should present two names of their polling agents at every polling station. All agents for candidates MUST have introduction letters from respective candidates and dully signed. Such agents must be registered students of the University. These shall be presented at least a day before the Election Day.
- All presiding officers, polling assistants and polling agents must be at the polling stations one hour before voting commences.
