Attending National Youth Forum Meeting

This afternoon I participated in the National Youth Forum meeting at State House Entebbe presided over by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni. She gave an inspiring address to the youth, highlighting the importance of good values. Makerere is a proud partner of the National Youth Forum.

Bidding Farewell to H.E. Per Lindgärde

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe (R) hands over a portrait to the outgoing Ambassador of Sweden to Uganda, H.E. Per Lindgärde (L) during his farewell visit on 21st June 2021, CTF1, Makerere University.

There was joy and yet a hard time when I bid farewell to H.E. Per Lindgarde, the Swedish Ambassador this afternoon. Makerere has enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the Embassy during his tenure and I wish him good health and success in his next assignment.

Today I represented the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Museveni at the commissioning of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB). I congratulate the college on their wonderful innovations.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe (on screen) launches three publications by AfriChild and Makerere University researchers on 15th June 2021, Telepresence Centre, Level 2, Senate Building.

I launched three publications by AfriChild Centre and Makerere researchers on the role of research on children welfare. Children are our future and we must take good care of them.
