Response to Comment on African Print Masks

I realize some comments about my earlier engagement at the Swedish Embassy are endorsing the face mask I wore. These are being made locally by our people and many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have signed up to make these affordable African print masks. I hope these encourage millennials to wear masks.

Bidding Farewell to H.E. Per Lindgärde

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe (R) hands over a portrait to the outgoing Ambassador of Sweden to Uganda, H.E. Per Lindgärde (L) during his farewell visit on 21st June 2021, CTF1, Makerere University.

There was joy and yet a hard time when I bid farewell to H.E. Per Lindgarde, the Swedish Ambassador this afternoon. Makerere has enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the Embassy during his tenure and I wish him good health and success in his next assignment.

I launched three publications by AfriChild Centre and Makerere researchers on the role of research on children welfare. Children are our future and we must take good care of them.
