Signing Agreement to Extend Swedish Support to Public Universities

Earlier today, I visited the Embassy of Sweden in Uganda where I had the pleasure to sign the agreement for extension of research support by the Swedish Government to Makerere University with H.E. Ambassador Per Lindgärde. This extension is for a 2 year period with an extra USD 4.5 Million.

The funding will enable Makerere and partnering Swedish universities complete the training of 100 PhDs for partner Ugandan Public Universities.

Signing MoUs with UniPD & UniCT

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe (C) at the MoU signing ceremony with the University of Padua and the University of Catania on 22nd September 2021, Padua Italy.

Today in Padua, Italy I have signed MOUs with the University of Padua (UniPD) and the University of Catania (UniCT). We have agreed to cooperate on academic exchange, joint research and others. Together, we should work to make the World a better place.
