Mak’s Drake Ssempijja wins Mandela Washington Fellowship

Mr. Drake Ssempijja, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Zoology, Entomology and Fisheries Sciences, CoNAS, Makerere University, Kampala Uganda at one of the landing sites. Mr. Ssempijja was awarded the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).

Mr. Drake Ssempijja has been awarded the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). The fellowship is tenable at the Leadership in Civic Engagement Institute, University of Georgia, USA. Drake is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Zoology, Entomology and Fisheries Sciences at the College of Natural Sciences (CoNAS), Makerere University. His study will focus on "leadership in civic engagement" particularly on how scientists and the academia can increase the impact of their work on society through building long-term sustainable community outreach programs and engagements.

Diploma Holders Admission Lists under Government Sponsorship for 2026/2027 AY

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released lists of Diploma holders admitted under the Government Sponsorship Scheme for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Under the Diploma Holders Government Sponsorship Scheme admission does not exceed 5% of the intake capacity to the respective Degree Programme.

Mature Age Examination Results for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 50% passed and have been recommended by the Pre-Entry & Mature Age Committee to the University’s Admissions Committee for consideration.

The Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027 can be accessed by following this link.
