Call for Papers: Special Issue of the Africa Research Journal (East Africa focus) Extended Deadline

Through support of the IEEE Africa Committee, a Special Issue of the Africa Research Journal (ARJ) will be released with articles from East Africa. All submissions for the ARJ will need to adhere to the
formatting specifications provided at http://goo.gl/8OcZVe. The deadline for receiving submissions is extended to 30 December 2019.

The SAIEE Africa Research Journal of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers, is an accredited, peer reviewed research journal published quarterly, covering research in all fields of electrical
engineering. The journal initiated as the Transactions of the SAIEE journal in 1909 and covers all areas of electrical engineering and in relation of IEEE-designated fields. It publishes research, survey and expository contributions in the field of electrical, electronic, computer, information and communications engineering. As of January 2019, the SAIEE Africa Research Journal is indexed by IEEE Xplore.

Kindly noted that articles may be of a theoretical or applied nature, must be novel and must not have been published elsewhere. Membership of the SAIEE is not required, and manuscripts are welcomed from across Africa.

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere UniversityĀ has releasedĀ Aptitude Test ExaminationĀ results for theĀ Mature Age Entry Scheme ExaminationsĀ held onĀ Saturday 13thĀ December 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
