Acting President of Zambia H.E. Inonge Wina Meets RUFORUM Delegation

A delegation from the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), a network of 118 universities across 38 countries in Africa paid a courtesy call on the Vice President and Acting President of the Republic of Zambia Her Excellency Inonge Wina in Lusaka on 25th September 2019. This Courtesy call was part of the agenda for the three day Zambia Higher Education Week activities held from 23rd -25th September 2019.

The Zambia Higher Education Week is part of the RUFORUM initiative for national dialogue on higher education among the member university States. Similar events were held in Liberia and Mali. The Zambia event was hosted by the University of Zambia (UNZA) in partnership with the, the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Agriculture and the Zambia Agricultural Research Institution. Activities included a one-day Higher Education symposium in Lusaka, Zambia; the RUFORUM Board Executive Committee Meeting; a courtesy call on the Vice President; University of Zambia project site visits; and an interactive session with staff at the University of Zambia.

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released Aptitude Test Examination results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

The Candidates who scored 50% and above in the aptitude test passed the aptitude examination and will have their programme -specific examination paper marked. Those who scored less than 50% failed.

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to Graduate Programmes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral Degree Programmes) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Applicants should have obtained at least a first or second class degree (or its equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of completion. Applicants should also possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (or its equivalent).

Sponsorship:

All Graduate Programmes are PRIVATELY-SPONSORED. Therefore, applicants seeking sponsorship should have their applications endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable. Applicants should note that the various fees payable to the University indicated for the various programmes EXCLUDE functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
