Important Dates for Academic Year 2019/2020

Published

on

I welcome you all to the University for a new academic year 2019/20 and in a special way the first-year students who are joining us to further develop your careers.

I wish to advise and warn especially first years to deposit all your fees as received from your parents and sponsors to any bank of your choice at the University and not to delegate anyone to pay for you.

With the new system, a student can pay via any commercial bank of their choice that can use URA platform including the Stanbic Bank, UBA, DFCU Bank, Centenary Bank and Post Bank which have branches at the University.

Please take note of the following:

1.    All Government sponsored students must enrol immediately on AIMS system and submit their personal bank accounts to their Hall Wardens to enable processing of food and living out allowances. Only enrolled students will be paid their allowances. You are therefore advised to enrol as soon as possible.
2.    The fees policy requires that a continuing student should pay at least UGX 200,000 to help the University run and this is expected to be paid by 30th August 2019 beyond which a surcharge of UGX 20,000 shall be levied.
3.    18th October 2019 (end of 10th week) is the deadline for free enrolment beyond which UGX 50,000 will be levied.
4.    1st November 2019 (end of 12th week) is the deadline for fees payment beyond which a surcharge of 5% on the outstanding balance will be levied.

These are important dates you should look out for.

I wish you the best as you pursue your career.
