Through MUYU, both institutions have had undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty from each university spend some time ranging from 1 to 12 months in training at the other institution. Uganda has benefited markedly from the 6-12 month rotations of Makerere University lecturers at Yale University, where they have gained expertise in various sub-discipline specialties.

Prof. Lewis’ onsite visit to Makerere University is aimed at meeting with various key persons so as to discuss the potential of broadening the relationships in the health profession disciplines, as well as other areas at both Universities, and to celebrate the last 12 years of the MUYU partnership.
