Mak’s MA Econ Students Lead in 2017 JFE Examination Results

Published

on

Makerere University through the School of Economics participates in the Collaborative Masters Program in Economics for Anglophone Africa (except Nigeria) sponsored by African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). After the MA (ECON) students are taught core courses at Makerere, they participate in a Joint Facility for Electives (JFE) that brings together over 10 Universities.

During the JFE; usually in Nairobi, participants study for two semesters and do examinations. It is with great pleasure to announce that for the second time in a row (2016 & 2015) Makerere University students have been the overall best in the JFE Examination results approved and released by the Executive Committee of CMAP-CPP Academic Advisory Board. Additionally, for the 4th time in a row, our position has not gone past number 2.

Allow me to warmly congratulate our students but more so our formidable team of faculty members who work tirelessly during the period of core courses to prepare our candidates for JFE with strict adherence to international standards.  The commitment of faculty members to quality and international standards is glaringly reflected in the way our students have consistently outperformed others during JFE sessions.
