Call for Papers for the Annual International Conference on Computing and ICT Research (ICCIR 2011). Submission from the tracks of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information systems, ICT for Sustainable Development, Data Communication and Computer Networks, Computer Engineering and Software Engineering are greatly encouraged.

Submission from the tracks of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information systems, ICT for Sustainable Development, Data Communication and Computer Networks, Computer Engineering and Software Engineering are greatly encouraged.

Deadlines:

  • Deadline for submission of Full Paper 1st March 2011;
  • Notification of Acceptance of Full Paper 1st May 2011;
  • Final Camera Ready Paper Due 1st June 2011;
  • Early Registration Before 1st June 2011;
  • Late Registration After 30th May 2011
  • Conference days 7th to 9th August 2011.

All Submitted papers will be reviewed by at least three reviewers and these three kinds of review will support the selection process of those that will be accepted for their presentation at the conference, as well as those to be selected as best papers for their publication in the International Journal for Computing and ICT Research.

Authors of accepted papers registered for the conference can have access to the evaluations and possible feedback provided by the reviewers who recommended the acceptance of their papers/extended abstracts. Therefore authors can accordingly improve the final version of their papers. Non-registered authors may not have access to the reviews of their respective submissions.

The registration fee for ICCIR '11 is as follows: Early Registration for Students with Papers to present is 100 Euros; Students without Papers to Present 50 Euros; Non students with Papers to Present 200 Euros; Non Students without Papers to Present 100 Euros. Late Registration for Students with Papers to present is 150 Euros; Students without Papers to Present 100 Euros; Non students with Papers to Present 250 Euros; Non Students without Papers to Present 150 Euros. No Paper will be published without the author having registered.

Special University Entry Examinations for the Diploma in Performing Arts 2026/27

Students from the Department of Performing Arts on 4th April 2025.

The Academic Registrar Makerere University invites applications for the Special University Entry Examinations for admission to the Diploma in Performing Arts.

The examination will take place on Saturday 16th May, 2026.

Application process is online for those intending to sit the examination. Kindly note that there is payment of a non-refundable application fee of Shs. 110,000/- excluding bank charges in any (Stanbic Bank, Dfcu Post Bank, UBA and Centenary Bank). After filling the online application, you will be provided with 2 Past Papers.

To be eligible to sit the examinations, the candidate must possess an O’ Level Certificate (UCE) with at least 5 Passes.

The deadline for receiving the online applications is Tuesday 12th May 2026.

How to Apply

  • Application is online for ALL applicants.
  • Other relevant information can be obtained from Undergraduate Mature Age Office, Level 5, Room 505, Senate Building, Makerere University or can be accessed from https://see.mak.ac.ug
  • A non refundable application fee of Shs. 110,000= for Ugandans, East Africans Applicants (Including S. Sudan & DRC) OR US $ 75 or equivalent for international applicants plus bank charges should be paid in any of the banks used by Uganda Revenue Authority.

Diploma Holders Admission Lists under Government Sponsorship for 2026/2027 AY

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released lists of Diploma holders admitted under the Government Sponsorship Scheme for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Under the Diploma Holders Government Sponsorship Scheme admission does not exceed 5% of the intake capacity to the respective Degree Programme.

Mature Age Examination Results for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13th December 2025.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 50% passed and have been recommended by the Pre-Entry & Mature Age Committee to the University’s Admissions Committee for consideration.
