As research systems in Africa develop there will be a need for research management. In many countries, people with doctoral degree qualifications choose to go into research management. Their experience and perspective as researchers with a doctoral degree qualification are invaluable to universities and research institutions to build research supportive environments. We want to create an environment for PhD graduates who want to work in their fields of study and who want to use their research background to extend the field to flourish in research management positions.
