Notice of the Death of Mr. Tommex Arwailayah Freeman

The late Mr. Tommex Arwailayah Freeman, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), Makerere University.

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death of Mr. Tommex Arwailayah Freeman, an International student from the Republic of Liberia and a RUFORUM Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) who passed on at the Uganda Cancer Institute at Mulago Hospital on Wednesday, 07^th April, 2021.

Makerere University is doing everything possible to provide support to the family and is making arrangements to repatriate his remains to Liberia. We pledge our emotional support to his family and friends at the College during this difficult time.

May God Almighty strengthen his family and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Diploma Holders Admission Lists under Government Sponsorship for 2026/2027 AY

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released lists of Diploma holders admitted under the Government Sponsorship Scheme for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Under the Diploma Holders Government Sponsorship Scheme admission does not exceed 5% of the intake capacity to the respective Degree Programme.

Mature Age Examination Results for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations held on Saturday 13^thDecember 2025.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 50% passed and have been recommended by the Pre-Entry & Mature Age Committee to the University’s Admissions Committee for consideration.

The Aptitude Exam (Paper 1) results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme 2026/2027 can be accessed by following this link.
