The iGEM Makerere Team has won another small grant from the Promega Corporation, U.S. thanks to an application submitted recently. Promega is a global leader in providing innovative solutions and technical support to life scientists in academic, industrial and government settings.
According to the announcement by Promega the 10 recipients were: Unesp Brazil, RDFZ-China, UI Indonesia, TecMonterrey GDL, Makerere Uganda, NYU Abu Dhabi, Manchester, Edinburgh OG, Tacoma RAINmakers, and Stony Brook.
The recipient teams can get one of the four options below for the US$2,000 grant.
- 6 x 150 reaction LigaFast™ Rapid DNA Ligation System Kits
- 6 x 1000 reaction GoTaq® G2 Master Mixes
- 5 x 250 prep PureYield™ Plasmid Miniprep Systems
- 2 of each of the following kits: 100 prep PureYield™ Plasmid Miniprep System, 100g Agarose, 50 prep Wizard® SV Gel and PCR Clean-up System and xtracta gels, 1000ml TAE Buffer (40X), 100 reactions GoTaq® G2 Master Mix, 20 reactions pGEM®-T Easy Vector System, 500u T4 DNA Ligase, and 300ul BenchTop 100bp DNA Ladder
