Announcing Internship Opportunities and Study abroad Scholarship Opportunity from Global Center for Food Systems Innovation (GCFSI), Michigan State University (MSU). MSU is a Partner University of ResilientAfrica Network (RAN), School of Public Heath, College of Heath Sciences (CHS), Makerere University under the Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN).
The Global Center for Food Systems Innovation (GCFSI) Lab is a consortium led by Michigan State University (MSU), the mission of which is to create and test scalable solutions to critical food systems challenges by developing a platform to engage and enable sharing and learning among students, faculty, the private sector and other stakeholders in an innovation system.
1. Internship Opportunity: A core element of the GCFSI’s mission is to engage students across campuses and across departments. As part of this effort we will be making development Internships available for students in the summer of 2014. These internships are meant to expose students to development work globally and to stimulate their thinking on solving challenges facing the global food systems. 2. Annual study abroad scholarship program: GCFSI has an annual study abroad scholarship program. The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited university in the US. The scholarship is awarded to students already enrolled in study abroad programs at their respective universities. The application deadline for the 2014 study abroad scholarships is March 15. Funding decision will be announced by March 25.
This study abroad scholarship program is separate from the internship program.
