Makerere University together with the Nile Basin Research Programme (NBRP) University of Bergen, the NBRP Regional Coordinating Office, CLASCO-CROP and the Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) are hosting an interdisciplinary and Cross Continental workshop
on Poverty, Water and Local Development from 28th to 30th November 2011.
The Minister of State for Economic Monitoring, Hon. Henry Banyenzaki will officially open the workshop today, 28th November 2011 at 10:00am at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The major presentations will focus on the following issues: Water Management, Planning and Good Governance; Water: Poverty, Rights and Conflicts; The Water Question in Foreign Interest and Local Needs; Water Privatization, Poverty and Social resistance.
