The Public Universities Joint Admissions Board has released the Official admission lists for Government sponsored students for A ' Level Applicants for the Academic Year 2019/2020. The Office of Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released full results for the Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations for the Academic Year 2019/2020 held on Saturday 15th December, 2018. The list includes names of candidates who have been recommended to the Public Universities Joint Admissions Board for consideration for Government Sponsorship for the Academic Year 2019/2020.

The Deputy Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo has appealed to academia to unpack for the community, the aspect of gender equality as enshrined in the Uganda Constitution. This was at the launch of the Gender Equality reports and a tool kit for gender equality practitioners on Wednesday, 10th April 2019 at the School of Food Technology, Nutrition and Bio-engineering Conference Hall, Makerere University.

UNESCO Selects Mak-DJC to Co-host World Press Fredom Day Conference

The Makerere University Department of Journalism and Communication (Mak-DJC) has been selected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) alongside three other universities (Sheffield in the UK, OsloMet in Norway, and Malaga in Spain) to host the 2019 World Press Freedom day academic conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 1st May 2019.

The Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI) is Jack Ma’s flagship entrepreneur program in Africa led by the Jack Ma Foundation.

The Program mission is to identify and spotlight African entrepreneur heroes and their stories to inspire the continent and beyond.

The Prize will host a grand finale pitch competition in Africa where ten finalists from across the continent will compete for a share of US$1 million in total grant prize money.

The exhibition, held on Monday, 8th April 2019 was one of the activities scheduled for the 2019 Makerere-Sweden Bilateral Research Programme Annual Planning Meeting which will run from 8th to 12th April 2019.
