Call for Applications: 2020 OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards for Early Career Women Scientists

The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) has recently opened the Call for Applications for the 2020 OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards for Early Career Women Scientists.

This prize rewards and encourages women working and living in developing countries who are in the early stages of their scientific careers, having often overcome great challenges to achieve research excellence.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) in partnership with Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S CDC) is implementing the Public Health Fellowship Program (PHFP), an initiative to develop the next generation of public health leadership for Uganda. The goal of this program is to develop a competent workforce by learning-through-service and responding to real public health problems of Uganda.

The Higher Education Resource Services-East Africa (HERS-EA) Third Academy got off to a flying start on Monday, 1st July 2019 with women leaders drawn from various institutions in Uganda and abroad being urged to let go of all burdens so as to soar professionally and academically. Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations (2020/2021)

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University, announces that the Mature Age Entry Scheme examinations for the academic year 2020/2021 entry will be held on Saturday 14th December, 2019.

To be eligible for the Mature Age Entry Examinations, the candidate must be at least 25 years old before 1st August, 2020.
