Judith Awino died on her 25th birthday as she gave birth, on a dusty roadside, to her second child.

She had endured a long and difficult labour but was unable to get admitted to hospital because of a nurses’ strike.

Kasese leaders trained on using One Health Approach to respond to community health concerns

Participants sharing knowlwdge and ideas during the  Leadership Capacity Building in Disease Prevention, Detection and Response on 30th April 2019 at Nyaika Hotel, Fort Portal.

Over 20 Local Government Administrators in Kasese District together with Wildlife Personnel from Queen Elizabeth National Park have been trained on how to use the One Health Approach to respond to community health concerns. This was at the Leadership Capacity Building in Disease Prevention, Detection and Response held on 30th April -3rd May 2019 at Nyaika Hotel Fort Portal.

African Union Team Visits ASF-RESIST Action at CoNAS

A team from the African Union (AU) led by Dr. Monica Ebele Idinoba accompanied by Ms. Khadidiatou Meissa Gaye visited the ASF-RESIST action from the 23rd April to 26th April 2019 at the College of Natural Sciences (CoNAS) to review progress of the action since its inception in 2018.

EACREEE Becomes Fully Operational as an Independent Entity

The inaugural meeting of EACREEE’s Board of Directors closed with a strong commitment for scaling-up its operations. The Board approved internal rules and procedures including Financial Regulations and Rules, Staff Regulations and Rules, Procurement Manual, among others. The approval of these instruments makes it now possible for EACREEE to contract, receive and make payments, receive funds and do all things that a legal entity can do.
