Call for Application : Doctoral studies on Militarisation, Human Rights and Development in Uganda

The Human Rights and Peace Centre, School of Law, Makerere University, Kampala Uganda

Applications are invited for an LLD scholarship on Militarisation, Human Rights and Development in Uganda at the Human Rights and Peace Centre (HURIPEC), School of Law, Makerere University. This scholarship is an integral part of a research project “Militarisation, sustainable growth and peace in Uganda” implemented by HURIPEC in collaboration with the Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts (CRIC), at the University of Copenhagen.

MakCHS Awarded NIH Health Professions Partnership Initiative Grant

The National Institute of Health (NIH) has awarded a Health Professions Partnership Initiative Grant: Health Professions Education and Training for Strengthening the Health System and Services in Uganda (HEPI-SHSSU) to Makerere University College of Health Services.

69th Graduation's Mutesasira Publishes in Journal of New Developments in Chemistry

The 83rd Guild President H.E. H.E. Kato graduated with a BA Education.

Mr. Julius Mutesasira, a former Bachelor of Science (BSc) External (Chemistry major) student successfully published his research article in the Journal of New Developments in Chemistry. He graduated during the first session of the 69th Graduation Ceremony of Makerere University on 15th January 2019.

Mak Launches Huawei ICT Academy

The Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and National Guidance, Hon. Frank K. Tumwebaze has called for equipping of students with hands-on skills to enable them fit into this fast growing economy. He was speaking at the Makerere University Guest House gardens on Tuesday, 14th May 2019  where hundreds of students and members of the public gathered to witness the launch of Huawei ICT Academy at Makerere University.
