Mak Bids to host Rotary Peace Centre in Sub-Saharan African

On Friday 1st March 2019, a delegation from Rotary International led by Mr. Bryn Styles visited Makerere University to evaluate the Institution’s potential to host the Rotary Peace Center in Sub-Saharan Africa. He was accompanied by Jill Gunter (Manager, Rotary Peace Centers Fellowship Program), Edward Kakembo, Ronald Kawaddira Ssentongo, Emmanuel Katongole- members of Rotary Club Uganda.

VC Hosts School of Law 2019 Jessup Moot National Round Winners

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe on Friday, 1st March 2019 hosted the team that represented Makerere University and won the 2019 Jessup Moot National Rounds.  They were accompanied by the Makerere Guild Speaker Rt. Hon. Isaac Kwagala. The School of Law hosted the National Rounds from 15th to 16th February 2019 and the winning team consisted of; Mr. Kansiime Mukama Taremwa, Ms. Rehemah Atwine, Mr. Jeffrey Kaddu, Mr. Kaleeba Aaron and Ms. Isabella Magina.
