Makerere University School of Public Health - Resilient Africa Network (RAN) in collaboration with AidData Center for Development Policy (AidData - USA); Partner Development Lab under the Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN) is pleased to invite you to the Fourth Annual GIS Hackathon that will take place on Friday, 28th July 2017 from 8:00am - 6:00pm at the RAN Innovation Lab (Plot 28 Upper Kololo Terrace opposite Kololo Airstrip in Kampala Uganda).

Government Sponsorship Admission Lists 2017/18 for PWD and Mop-Up

In addition to the Admission lists for Government sponsored students released earlier, the Office of the Academic Registrar has also released admission list for People-With-Disability (PWD) and a mop-up list for the Government Sponsorship Scheme.

Private Sponsorship Admission Lists for Mature-Age, Degree Holders and Diploma Entry 2017/2018

The new CHUSS Building on University Road

The Office of the Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released the admission lists for Privately sponsored students for Mature Age Entry Scheme, Degree holders and Diploma Entry Scheme for the Academic Year 2017/2018.

Please note that First Year privately sponsored students must pay 60% tuition and all functional fees using provisional admission letters before picking their original copies.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe has appealed to Makerere University staff to be principled and result oriented.

Prof. Nawangwe was on Thursday (13th July, 2017) speaking to a congregation at Makerere University Guest House during the farewell party of Mrs. Mary K. Tizikara, the former Director Human Resources.

Makerere University to take lead in the adoption of Israel Technology in Uganda

During a high level meeting held on Tuesday 18th July 2017, the Ambassador of Israel to Uganda, H.E Yahel Villan and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) of Makerere University, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe agreed that Makerere University would take the lead in the adoption of Israeli technology for Uganda’s development.

On 13th July 2017, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), Professor Barnabas Nawangwe hosted the Provost of Earth University in Costa Rica, Prof. Daniel Sherrard to discuss opportunities for continued collaboration among Universities as well as sustainable development in Africa.
