RAN at the Transform Africa Summit 2017

All roads met at Kigali on Wednesday 10th May, 2017 for the third edition of the audacious “Transform Africa Summit”.  The annual summit, which was born in Kigali, is hosted by the President of Rwanda and Chairman of the Smart Africa Board- H.E. Paul Kagame and is attended by several dignitaries including: Heads of State, Government and Intergovernmental Organizations, First ladies, Mayors of African Cities and ICT industry leaders, innovators and investors.

It was a rainy and chilly day on Tuesday May 2, 2017 when several participants engaged in the Kampala Technovation Regional Challenge event under the coordination of a multidisciplinary RAN team. The Global Technovation Challenge activities are the organized within Makerere University School of Public Health ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) RAN4Gals program. The Global Technovation Challenge offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the skills they need to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders.

Pedal Tap Lead Innovator Attends BIG IDEAS 2016/2017 Awards Ceremony

”It was an honour to have been the first winner from Makerere University to attend the BIG Ideas 2016/2017 awards ceremony” exclaimed Grace Nakibaala, Lead Innovator on the Pedal Tap Innovation. At the awards event, Grace represented the Pedal Tap team which took part in the competition and won first place in the Scaling Up category, scooping USD 8,000 only. ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) a partner of the BIG Ideas competition facilitates and supports students from Makerere University to participate in the BIG Ideas Contest.

The Office of the Academic Registrar, Makerere University has released the admission lists for Government sponsored students for the Academic Year 2017/2018. The Office has also released the Public Universities Joint Admissions Board Cut Off Points for Government Admissions.
