The Minister of State for Animal Industry Hon. Joy Kabatsi officially opened the Annual College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) Students’ Agricultural Exhibition and Career Expo 2017 at the Makerere University Freedom square on Tuesday, 21st March 2017. The Minister was received by the Vice Chancellor who was represented by Prof. Bernard Bashaasha, Principal College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES).

As Technology consults Ltd (TECO), a consultancy firm based in the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University celebrates 25 years this year, the company thought it right to give back to the community by undertaking various activities. On Friday March 10, 2017 the company visited Loving Hearts Orphanage in Munyonyo and donated various items such as food, pampers, wipes, soap, sugar and clothing among others.

The One Health Institute Field Attachment 2017

The One Health Institute attachment is a multidisciplinary, experiential joint training in community engagement concerning assessment of infectious disease threats.

As part of the program, successful applicants will attend weekend OHI theoretical classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 22nd April to 20th May 2017, followed by 28 days of field placements during the month of July. Students will be attached to the different One Health Field attachment sites in Uganda.
