The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) invites Concept Notes on Features, Governance Characteristics and Policy Implications of Non-State Social Protection in Africa.

Social protection is PASGR’s current research theme.  Its selection was informed by the apparent high level of priority placed on the issue by African governments, the donor community and regional intergovernmental bodies like the African Union (AU).  

The Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA) has initiated a project that aims at developing teaching modules or textbooks and reference materials for graduate level studies, especially for
MA programs on gender studies in higher learning institutions of sub-Saharan Africa.

The project will primarily involve assessment of the available teaching textbooks, references and other course
materials from various higher learning institutions and training centres in Africa.

The 5th Annual Africa Workshop, will be jointly convened by the American Political Science Association (APSA) and the University of Botswana.

This Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation, the Volkswagen Foundation and other European partners aims at providing sustainable support for research in Sub-Saharan Africa.
