
Cross Cutting Disability Research Programme (CCDRP) funded by the UK Government under (DFID) focuses on building capacity of disability and development research and knowledge, particularly in low-and middle-income countries. The internship programme will support the mutual exchange of knowledge and shared learning
between local academics and the disability community in the countries where the CCDRP operates (Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Nepal and India).
Research internships on offer start from September 2012 up to 12 weeks for:
a) Disabled Persons Organisation staff or members to undertake a research assignment on disability and development within a local university;and
b) Under- and post-graduates in international development, social sciences, community development or an equivalent subject to undertake a research assignment on disability and development within a local disabled
persons organisation.
